advice of framing cross stitch
Good Morning everyone - I have a question regarding self sticking mounting boards. I have watched Utube videos on framing/mounting, etc and alot of seems really complicated. I am not a very artistic hands on person , meaning having to measure, cut, pin, cut around it, pin again etc etc is not one of my skills. I was wondering if anyone has ever used the self-sticking mounting boards. I read some reviews (on reddit, etc) that basically says to stay away from it because over time it can ruin the fabric. I know they sell it here on this site (ECS) but there are no reviews. They do sell it on amazon and it has fairly good reviews. Has anyone used it? Is it fairly simple , etc. I do have a couple of pieces that I think I am going to get professionally framed, but for most pieces, I would like to frame them myself.
GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind SATURDAY
Good Saturday morning stitching friends. A beautiful day in store with blue skies and sunshine. Bryan is framing Betsy Ross and Raven Queen will be retired to the closet until fall. Leftover stuffed peppers and it's always good when no cooking involved and I can happily stitch on Sheep Virtues. Wishing you all a good weekend!
June 2024 WIP (Work In Progress) 'Show and Tell'
Hello everyone and welcome to the month of June! As we do each month, let's post photos of our WIPs and recently completed projects.
I'll post my WIP (there's only one for the past month) later in the day after unrolling it from the scroll frame and its floor stand.
Take care, everyone!
Strands of floss
After 40 years of cross stitch experience you would think I wouldn't make such a stupid mistake, but I misread the directions and only used one strand of floss. I was going to buy extra floss if needed to use 2 but again didn't. I am now over 2/3 done and realized my mistake. Do I pull everything and start over?

Genesis 46: 11- 20
11 The sons of Levi were Gershon,
Kohath, and Merari.
12 The sons of Judah were Er, Onan,
Shelah, Perez, and Zerah
(but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan).
The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
13 The sons of Issachar were Tola, Puvah, Job,
and Shimron.
14 The sons of Zebulun were Sered, Elon, and Jahleel.
15 These were the sons of Leah, whom she bore to
Jacob in Padan Aram, with his daughter Dinah.
All the persons, his sons and his
daughters were thirty-three.
16 The sons of Gad were Ziphion, Haggi, Shuni,
Ezbon, Eri, Arodi, and Areli.
17 The sons of Asher were Jimnah, Ishuah, Isui,
Beriah, and Serah, their sister. And the sons
of Beriah were Herber and Malchiel.
18 These were the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban
gave to Leah his daughter; and these she
bore to Jacob: sixteen persons.
19 The sons of Rachel, Jacob's wife, were
Joseph and Benjamin.
20 And to Joseph in the land of Egypt were
born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom
Asenath, the daughter of Poti- Pherah
priest of On, bore to him.
Have A Bless Day!

Question…
On the pattern the stripes are not stitched….I’m undecided…
To stitch, or not to stitch, that is the question….
Whatdoyouthink….
SO TRUE!!!
Got this from my Mom this morning....just validating my stash😂😂
OT. Cicadas are here
They landed in Iowa. Theyre scary looking, harmless. There is a scary looking wasp that hunts them. They are huge and can sting.
Are you getting the cicadas and the wasp?
GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind FRIDAY
Happy Friday morning everyone. Today is post office, shopping, and the purchase of a new stove. We found a simple Amana electric stove at Menard's with the 11% rebate they offer, which will cover the delivery and hauling away of "Sylvia" (named after the tragic poet Sylvia Plath). All I want to today is stitch outside and let the world go by. Have a good Friday and upcoming weekend.
