U can purchase this instruction here on this site. If I was you I would buy everything at the same time so I wont bother going to the store more than once or pay for extra gas to another one.

I live in a rural county, larger than several states. I shop the internet for two reasons. Someone will have what you need. I find who has what I want. Then, if two or more internet shops have what I need, I compare prices. It saves me gas. I get items quite quickly. You can contact the customer service and they will answer questions. I find that this is easier than asking a store clerk questions to which they do not have any answer and no referral elsewhere...

Pittsuzan you have the right answer. I live in the country also and do almost all of my cross stitch purchasing online. That is why I was so glad to find this website. It has most everything I need for my projects. happy Stitching!!

I live in a medium size city, & it's not much better. They talk "Buy Local" a lot. So last week I drove all over town looking for stretcher bars for canvas. Joann's, Michael's, Aaron Bros., & a local artist supply store should have had them, but didn't. I also find Joann's & Michael's don' t keep their DMC floss stocked up. If I need a color, it may be all sold out.

I have to agree as well. We have a nice little shop here in town but the lady that owns is quite old and just cannot keep up. She has an assistant but I get the feeling that she is reluctant to give up the reins. I have ordered specialty floss from her 4 years ago and it still hasn't materialized. I finally found it elsewhere - yes the internet - and no longer ask her about it. Specialty shops are going by the wayside and the chains don't appeal to me. The sales assistants are poorly trained and can rarely answer questions, that is if you can even find one to ask. Also I've noticed that most of the X-stitch shops are so overstocked that it's difficult to find anything and they are usually quite dusty and dirty. I like to look at the patterns but that's just not happening these days. Here at ESX I find everything I need and don't have to make substitutions. 123 is great too. I haven't checked many of the sites that have been recommended because I am not as prolific a stitcher as many of you ladies and still have tons of "stuff" in my stash. At Amazon I have free shipping so what more can a person ask for. It's just that we become more and more isolated as a society with relatively little social interaction. I, too, always believed in supporting local business but how can one support something that's not there. I've been reading all the chit chat followups but haven't responded because 5 of 7 family members are down with bronchitis and ear infections, etc. Thank God for antibiotics.

Texas Stitcher I agree with you about supporting local business, but with the size of my town there are not any cross stitch shops so I am glad for this website and 123Stitch.com. I have found a wonderful local Quilt Shop for my quilting and it is only 10 miles away so I go there a lot. I wish I had bought Amazon stock when it started up. I am a big Amazon shopper especially since I can get free shipping.

Hope your family members get well soon Texas Stitcher. have a good week everyone.
