I started 27 birds about 9 months ago, and I'm just over half way done. It is absolutely gorgeous and I am so glad I got it. However, on arrival I was dismayed to see the 24 page gibberish that is the pattern. Totally unrecognizable in every way. To the point that I could be stitching one of the birds for an hour before I had any idea it was a bird. I would NOT have bought this pattern if I'd had a chance to look at it first. But I've worked out a system with colored pens and copies of the pattern to draw all over, and it's working out. It is definitely not a pattern you can stitch in front of the TV. I sew at a table, with an Ott Light, my pattern and pens, and a fair bit of focus, which might be why it's taking so long. But it's truly gorgeous and some of the pages are delightful to stitch (so far about 2/3 are fun, 1/3 are miserable). I'm even thinking about doing the other Birds that goes with by the same artist.
