About this item
This is an unusual Irish sampler from a Model School - the booklet contains the history of model schools in Ireland. There is a smaller pattern included for free which is based around the flower feature on the sampler. The sampler measures 104 stitches wide by 151 stitches high. It is stitched in full cross stitch and quarter stitches, so is suitable for linen. The pin cushion measures 65 stitches wide by 59 stitches high and the model is stitched on 35 count Zweigart Edinburgh linen in Antique White. It is stitched in full cross stitched, so is suitable for aida and linen. The colours are taken from the back as there is considerable fading to the front and many of the original colours are lost.
