Don't mess up your graph before finishing the piece!
I messed up one of her wings ( never stitch when extremely stressed you don't count well then) but my graph was to messed up to help me redo her wing. I think that I have made 9 or 10 of the Lavender & Lace Angels and love doing them because they are so beautiful when you are done. I only do them for myself now (well Celtic Christmas is going to be for my best friend then just me).

Absolutely love Everything Marilyn designed and was heart-broken to find out she's gone. She always got the faces and hands right which many designers can't do. Doing this for the second time because somebody begged me. Most any metallic-gold will do as long as it's not a thick braid.

I ordered the pattern and completed the project 2 years ago. It is a large project, so you can't stitch it overnight, but it is absolutely beautiful and serene to look at. I ordered Kreinik blending filament for the gold stitching, and it worked out beautifully although it was a little touchy to use two strands of the filament at one time. Angel of Hope is well worth the time and effort.

I ordered the pattern with all threads and found myself ordering more threads. The site doesn't list gold but when I get the pattern, the harp, strings and border is in gold. I can't find gold to use "284Z".

This was the first Lavender and Lace pattern I did. It was very easy to do and it turned out just beautiful. I did change the color or her shawl and ribbon to suit the event I was making her for, Relay for Life, which is all about Hope. I plan on maybe doing the Angel of Healing for next year. I even added a few beads to her hair and she turned out just breathtaking. I get tons of compliments on my work.

Design element?
I cannot figure out why there is a bite out of the sash at the hip. Does this bother anyone else? If I stitch this one, I will fill it in. I was just digging through my stash to find all my angel charts and came across this one again.

Stamped pattern
Do you have the Angel of Hope stamped onto material? I would rather follow a stamped pattern than count stitches.

I want to purchase the angel of hope cross stitch. The kit does not come with the floss, correct? How do I know,what colors I will need to complete the project? I haven't done a cross stitch in many head and don't remember purchasing separate. Is it possible to get kit with floss included?

cross stitch fabric and thread
Over the past 15 years, I have stitched (2) Angel of Hope cross stitch projects. They turned out beautiful. Now that I want to make another one I couldn't find the number of threads that I need to stitch the angel on the instruction sheet. HELP. Also, I stitched the first two angel projects on 16 count bayleaf fabric. This time I was sent 32 count linen brown fabric. Has anyone used this color for the Angel of Hope? It looks so dark. I would appreciate any input. Thank you.
