Arabesque is my Art Deco-ish contribution to the world of red samplers. This design started with the alphabet and it was so fun finding and developing motifs that had the same general feel. I love the slightly asymmetrical feel of the mandala on the bottom left and the fan in the upper right. But for me the alphabet is the star of this show! I hope you love stitching this as much as I loved designing it!
The model is stitched on 46 ct Winter White Linen by Seraphim Hand-dyed Fabrics using Hand-dyed Fibers silk. Many thanks to my model stitcher Raymond Jenkinson-Ng for doing such a beautiful job on this model.
Alternative fabrics: The color of fabric that works best will depend on what color floss you choose for this monochromatic design, but the sky really is the limit. Choose a fabric and floss that you love and start stitching!
