Birds of the Month - December (Northern Cardinal)a Cross Stitch Pattern by Stoney Creek

Stoney Creek Bird of the Month series continues with this December Norther Cardinal design. Stitch count 67w x 91h - apx 4 3/4" x 6 1/2" on 14ct. We stitched our design on 28ct White Jobelan over two threads, did some fringing and have it displayed on a 4" x 6" Black Magnet Board. Pine cone and snowflake magnets dress it up and keep the design displayed on the board. Weeks Dye Works 1272 Tatanka (DMC sub 3031) is used in addition to DMC colors white, 310, 347, 471, 498, 754, 758, 775, 814, 934, 3328, 3362, 3371, 3712, 3756 and 3778. We also used DMC #8 White Pearl Cotton to backstitch around the outer edge of the design as a border for fringing.
