Carolyn's Balloons - Summera Cross Stitch Pattern by Jan Hicks Creates

Carolyn’s Balloons - Summer is the last in my seasonal balloon series and perhaps is my favorite. I wanted to create a New England summer vibe and I think I have done that with the colors, the red and white striped lighthouse and the lobster motif balloon! I hope you will enjoy stitching this series as much as I enjoyed creating it! The model is stitched on 40 ct Cobalt by Fiber on a Whim using one strand of the called for overdyed floss over two linen threads. My immense gratitude goes to Melissa Woodhead for her speedy and beautiful stitching of the model! Alternative fabrics: I would stick with a blue background for this design, mimicing a gorgeous summer sky. Any shade of blue will look lovely!
