FOX GOES TO THE MOONa Cross Stitch Pattern by Loxley Designs

I did not like the greenish color of the moon so changed to grays. It turned out very well. This was a baby shower gift for my grandson' and his wife. They chose space fox as the nursery theme. It is very difficult to find space foxes. This design was perfect! I do not have a photo to post to show you how cute this is.

Loxley Designs helpfully lists an estimate of how many yards you might use of each floss color. Ie., Pepper Gray DMC648 0.61 yds 0.07 Skeins. Nice! Enjoyed stitching the moon surface, earth, rocket, and of course Fox in an Iris violet (DMC3746 0.42 yds 0.05 Skeins) space helmet but didn't love it like I thought I would. The blanc (2 yds 0.15 Skeins) stars pop out of the black (17 yds 1.88 Skeins) sky in a satisfying way. If you are clever with colors, think about replacing Bordeaux wine mauve DMC3803 (0.91 yds 0.11 Skeins) with a lighter or darker shade that will stand out more against the moon, Pond Green DMC501 (11 yds 1.19 Skeins).
