Cross stitch pattern from Tiny Modernist featuring part 1 of a 3 part series!
Note from the designer:
Welcome to our 2022 Spring Stitch-A-Long! This 3-Part Series is a bold design in a chalkboard style, featuring a Spring quote (it doesn't rhyme) with lots of pretty Spring motifs. This chart uses 11 DMC colors (1 skein unless otherwise stated). You may also choose to use a few (or all) of the specialty Classic Colorworks (CCT) and Weeks Dye Works (WDW) floss instead of DMC (the model is stitched using CCT & WDW floss).
Finished Pattern Specs:
Stitch Count: 143w x 190h
Design Size: 10.5"w x 14"h (14-count) or 9"w x 12"h (16-count)
Stitches used: Cross Stitch, Back Stitch
Model was stitched on 14-ct Navy Blue Aida (Wichelt or Charlescraft). The design would also work on lighter fabrics, like pale blue, yellow, pink, purple, grey, taupe etc.
Please make sure to cut your fabric at least 3" larger than the design on each side, 6" in total to each side (so for the full design, use a fabric piece that is at least 17" x 20" for 14-ct or 15" x 18" for 16-ct).
We cheated a little bit, and used a pre-cut piece of Charlescraft 14ct Aida that was 15" x 18" (leaving only 2" of extra fabric on each side, but it worked!)
Model is shown in 12" x 16" standard photo frame, in whitewash barn board finish.
