I have really enjoyed working on this one; I don't like full coverage pieces, so this one has just enough open space on it to make me happy yet look like a more intense piece. I just have the outside border to finish yet. I love the darker colors of it while overall the design is cheerful but classic. Also first time I've worked on the indicated fabric, and I really like it! Can't wait to get this done and placed in my entryway one day! No difficult stitches but it's a good size so I rate it average. I think a beginner could do it, but for this kind of piece, I'd think you'd want more practice behind you to make this a more heirloom quality when you've finished. I'll be incorporating the year and my initials so my daughter will have it down the road.
