I’d Rather Be Fishing Stockinga Cross Stitch Pattern by Kooler Design Studio

I am still working on this for my husband. It is working up absolutely beautiful and he is enjoying watching it come to life - he refuses to look at the picture only the project at the end of each day. But all of the 1/4 stitches are A LOT! I have gotten a little frustrated at times and have put to the side to work on something smaller and easier but in the end I know it will be a cherished project. Beginner stitchers I suggest marking off your stitches as you go cuz very easy to get lost. And take your time. You will be rewarded when you are done.

I have never done quarter stitches before and this pattern is full of them. I find it hard as I felt that the quarter stitches should be 3/4 stitches and I found it frustrating to know which ones to make the 3/4 stitch. I’m just an average stitcher so this maybe why I’m having difficulty with it.

I agree with the previous writer that the netting was quite difficult to do, but well worth it in the long run. I changed the reds in Santa's pants and his hat as I felt the colours called for in the pattern were too orange. There are a lot of 1/2 & 1/4 stitches which makes it a little more complicated too. I did this for my son-in-law, who is an avid fisherman, and he loved it.

This is the hardest cross stitch I've ever done. It's beautiful though. It has A LOT of 1/4 stitches and the netting on the toe was really hard. It's been challenging, but I like a challenge.
