I would definitely recommend this to a friend with the following caveats: The suggested floss colors do not provide the essential color contrast shown in the photo. The theme letter "I" gets lost in the surrounding colors in many places. I, therefore, had to combine thread colors to achieve the necessary contrast. If you plan to make another letter to display with the "I", you may want to consider removing the gold background. The background leaves the finished product with a much heavier look than the other letters. If you include the gold background, I suggest buying two Ye Old Golds. To complete the project, you will also need to add Kreinik #4 Braid 3514 and Mill Hill Beads 18828 to the suggested supply list.

I chose this pattern for my friend's daughter. There is a lot of detail and the beading accents really make it pop. I love this pattern- just simply beautiful.
