Spring has always been my favorite season. As the temperatures start to gradually warm up, my thoughts turn to flowers. Spring bulbs, dogwoods blooming, fruit trees budding - all of it makes me smile. I wanted to create a design that celebrates all of that, one where some of the happiness I feel at the coming of spring shines through. I feel this design does just that. From the great big plants with all kind of quirky flowers, to the line of tulips by the house and the birds coming back to visit, it all makes me smile. And of course, I needed to have cats in the yard as well! I hope this sweet design brings you as much joy as it does me! Finished Design Size: 173 x 103 14 ct (over 1) or 28 ct (over 2) - 12.4 x 7.4 in. 16 ct (over 1) or 32 ct (over 2) - 10.8 x 6.4 in. 18 ct (over 1) or 36 ct (over 2) - 9.6 x 5.7 in. 40 ct (over 2) - 8.7 x 5.2 in. The model is stitched on 40 ct Lichen by Tabby Cat using one strand of floss over two linen threads. The called for flosses are a mixture of Weeks Dye Works, Classic Colorworks and Cottage Garden Threads overdyed flosses, with 1 DMC. I have also provided a DMC conversion. Please be aware, however, that the DMC will not provide you with the same look as the overdyed flosses, especially for the Cottage Garden Threads - Bridal Veil, Cloudy Day and Oregano. Fat Quarter Shop offer a floss pack for this design. Please note: the floss usage amount stated in the key is based on using 2 strands on 14 ct/28 ct fabric.
