This piece is truly a work of art. The picture looks exactly like the photo online. I definitely recommend making a working copy of the pattern so you can mark your progress. Follow the pattern carefully, as several of the symbols are similar and fairly close to each other. The finished picture truly looks like a photograph. I have received many compliments on the finished product, with highest praise coming from a REAL SANTA to whom I am giving this to as a gift! His first comment was "Wow!!" Then he said that it looks just like him. I am very pleased and I would make it again if requested.

I loved this piece! This was very large and it took me a long time, but the finished work is gorgeous! I gave it an average difficulty rating only because of its size. A seasoned cross stitcher will find this easy.

This is a most challenging design. I have just started stitching and progress is slow. It is still difficult to tell what it will look like as I have only completed one page of the pattern. I am enjoying the challenge.

I am really enjoying working on this project, but it is the most challenging counted cross stitch I have ever stitched. The large size of the design makes the design very slow to develop and so it is harder to see as you are stitching, but is excitig when you suddenly recognize the pattern. The many colors and the subtlety of the shading are what makes it so attractive, but also make it harder to follow the pattern. While there are some large areas of the same few colors, there are also many places where stitches of individual colors are widely separated, and it is hard to find your place in the design. But these challenges make it hard for me to put it down. The manufacturer promises many hours of happy stitching, and i would endorse that opinion.
