Mini Spirit Horsea Cross Stitch Pattern by Artecy Cross Stitch

I stitched this one on a light gray aida cloth, with the intention of not doing the black background. But when I was finished with the horse, I needed the background to make the outline of the horse look right. However, I did use half stitches, as opposed to full cross stitches to make the background appear lighter. Also, I added three columns of background to the right side, as I felt like the original pattern stopped too close to his nose. I really enjoyed working this one, and am very pleased with the outcome! Thank you for offering this beautiful artwork!!

The pattern floss colors are not what is shown on the website photo. The website shows various shades of whites, tans, blues, grays and browns. The actual shades of these colors have a dark greenish tint and the finished product does not look like the photo shown on the website. I used the exact pattern colors and the finished product is too green, dark and unattractive. Apparantly the floss manufacturer has changed these colors which now have a green tint and this supplier did not make any corrections.
