Nantucket Rose color problems
I've just started "Nantucket Rose" by Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum of Lavender & Lace. This is an old pattern from 1992. I've stitched several rows of DMC 936 and 934 across the top, but am now finding that the photo included with the pattern does not match the pattern itself. The pattern tells me to use DMC 3051 to fill in small areas of what I've just stitched. 3051 is an almost identical shade of green to 936. The photo, however, shows a medium brown color similar to DMC 420 which is used in other areas of the pattern. I'm thinking of ripping out the 3051 and using the 420 instead for better contrast. I want it to look like the photo. Any one else stitched this pattern and noticed the color differences? What did you do?
