Pelicana Cross Stitch Pattern by Artecy Cross Stitch

I am somewhat new to counted cross stitch---doing Big Stitch patterns because they are done on 6 count Aida fabric. I am older and the smaller 11 or 14 count is too difficult to see. I would love to do the above Pelican project for my daughter. It comes in 14 count and would make the finished project 15.6 inches x 11.1 inches . If I enlarged the print several times in order to see the number of individual stitches (can easily do this at Staples) the finished project would be twice this size and far too big for a decorative pillow (18 x 18), if done on 6 count. How do I convert this pattern? Change to be able to work on 6 count Aida fabric without doubling the overall finished pillow? I do not want to work under a magnifying glass. I love doing cross stitch-find it very relaxing. If I cannot figure out how to convert stitches to 6 count I will be very limited in selection of patterns and this new found hobby will be short lived. I want to continue to do pillows and not cute little hangings. There has to be an answer to doing this!!! Someone please help. Thank you! Thank you
