Outlining stocking

Hi! In the instructions for the stocking it says not to stitch the outline in the pattern but in the picture it is clearly outlined. I’m not finding any instruction on what color to use for that. Can you help? Thanks! Barbara

Hello, Is this a complete kit ( materials & instructions to finish stocking) or just the pattern? Also, can it be done on a different count stitch cloth?
