Red Faberge Christmas Ornaments with Silver Flowersa Cross Stitch Pattern by Solaria Gallery

Just received this pattern and very pleased with it. Also purchased the three light effects threads that it calls for. But, I’ve never used these threads before and there are no instructions on the pattern as to whether you use single or double. What is common when using these threads? Do I split them and if so into how many? These are not like your typical cotton floss which split into six threads; each strand will split into 12. I can substitute the cotton DMC equivalent but now that I’ve got them in my hot little hands I’d like to use them. HELP!

Are the faberge egg patterns meant to be sewn into an egg shape?
