Sarah Charles’ Sampler The sampler measures 162 stitches wide by 210 stitches high. It is stitched in full cross stitch and quarter stitches, so is suitable for linen. The adapted version which omits the verse measures 165 stitches wide by 137 stitches high. This version is stitched in full cross stitch only and is suitable for both linen and aida. The model is stitched on 36 count Edinburgh linen in Antique White. I have charted the sampler for a colour palette drawn from similar samplers which have better colour preservation, i.e. where the roses are still pink. I have used this colour palette to restitch the model.
