Sarah Rosanna Rutherfoord, a pair of Irish marking samplers Sarah lived a fascinating life in Dublin, which is discussed in the booklet, and unusually left two samplers. The 1832 red and green sampler measures 107 stitches wide by 95 stitches high. It is stitched in full cross stitch, so is suitable for linen and aida. The second black sampler measures 175 stitches wide by 196 stitches high. It is stitched in full cross stitch, quarter stitches, herringbone and eyelets, so is suitable for linen.
