Scottiea Cross Stitch Kit by Mill Hill

This is my first project completed on punched paper, and the first time I've done a project with beading. I really enjoyed it and would absolutely do it again! The instructions are very clear and detailed, and the pattern was easy to read. I did have a bit of a problem with missing stitches on the pattern that were under backstitched lines, as they didn't stand out clearly like other stitches. I would have liked a version of the pattern without the backstitch so that I could use that to stitch from until it was time to add the backstitch. But I was able to go back and add the missing stitches once I realized it, so it turned out perfectly fine! As long as you follow the instructions about what order to do the stitches, backstitches, and beading, it will turn out beautiful. I created a floss loop and added a fabric backing with iron-on hem tape to make this into an ornament. Lovely, and I will keep an eye out for other Mill Hill kits! :)
