Shades of Olivea Cross Stitch Pattern by Northern Expressions Needlework

Shades of Olive is the eighth in a series of twelve shaded designs featuring bands and motifs shaped into geometric patterns. Because the design is entirely cross stitch, any type of fabric is suitable.

The chart gives floss options for Classic Colorworks Silks, Dinky Dyes and DMC Flosses. We only carry the DMC Floss so that is what it listed in our supply listing. From the chart: This is not an exact conversion, the DMC are of course solid rather than overdyed, and the 730 is a couple shades lighter than Tortoiseshell, but there isn't anything darker in that range. The Dinky Dyes colours lean slightly more green. 3 skeins of each of the conversion colours MAY be enough, but will cut it VERY close – you're better off getting 4 of each.

Floss estimates are for 40 count fabric using one strand of floss for stitching over two. If you are using a lower count of fabric or multiple strands of floss you will need to adjust these amounts.
