Snow Balls & Bellsa Cross Stitch Pattern by X's & Oh's

Does anyone know how these are stitched? Are the faces stitched and then placed onto another object, like a styrofoam ball perhaps, or are they sewed to another piece of fabric and stuffed? I think they're very cute, but just trying to figure them out, no info provided that gives a hint about assembly.
