Still Life With Red Winea Cross Stitch Kit by Riolis

I love the 3-D look of this piece. I put it as difficult because I find dark fabrics harder to work on. I also find yarn like threads harder to work with as they break easier and so I never seem to have enough of the threads included to complete the project. I have to supplement with DMC threads that I have on hand. Also metallic threads look fantastic on black material but they are more difficult to work with. But overall, I love this project.

I liked the pattern, it was easy to follow and I'm a beginner to following patterns in general, I've only done small pieces with words and borders before. I do wish that this came with a digital version of the file, a lot of tutorials I was finding suggested crossing off on the chart as you go, but I didn't want to destroy the one copy of the chart I had. Also, I ran out of the silver early in the process and had to sub in DMC, but I had tons of extra of every other color.

The description says black cotton fabric. I was expecting an even weave. Instead it's black Aida cloth. The only thing to do was return it for a refund. The company is not in the U.S. so I kept it. Hopefully after rating 4 stars all the thread is correct that is included.
