Grandson's choice, now a question of color
I am getting ready to start the first of 3 Christmas stockings for my grandsons. My grandson (4 yrs) was up from his 'rest' so I asked him what pattern he liked. I showed him this darling 'Penguin Joy' and he responded "that's cute". I showed him the Best of Stoney Creek Stockings II and he said he really liked the lighthouse. I was surprised. So, the lighthouse it is. I am going to use aida cloth but not real excited about using black aida (after reading how many stitchers have said there are challenges when working with black).
I'm thinking maybe Wichelt navy or nordic blue. I would appreciate your feedback on what color aida cloth you would use and if you would choose black.
