United Hearts Recorda Cross Stitch Kit by Dimensions

This is a "standby" for me. I have stitched several of these for weddings and anniversaries. I love it. It's simple and fairly quick to stitch.

It made a pretty gift.

The finished product is very pretty, but all the pastel colors are very hard to work with - you can't see if you have missed any, especially in the white areas. I do not do well with french knots or cording, so I substituted small crystal beads for the french knots, eliminated most of the cording and just used a running stitch with two strands of light gold in the border. I put the key on the upper right corner of the large heart. Result was very sweet and uncluttered. Framed with a light mauve and a slim gold frame.

The actual product is looking beautiful but the pattern is awful. Too much use of one color on the pattern for several floss colors, ie, color codes * ^ # are all in red and all abutt each other - very dificult to tell when new colors begin.
