I am currently working on the third one since it is a favorite in my family and I have given two away! However, I did make a few changes in the colors to give it more depth. I used 18 count oatmeal Aida cloth and used DMC 3750 (dark blue on petals) instead of both 3821 and 3776, DMC 3760 (light blue as contrast on petals) instead of 677, and DMC 676 (old gold in the centers) instead of 3031 for the flowers and outlined both the flowers and the flower stems with the DMC 3750. I also used DMC 934 (black avocado green) instead of 3031 and DMC 3782 (light mocha brown) instead of 597 (turquoise) on the large butterfly wings and body and outlined with DMC 934. I also used DMC 934 for the wording. The DMC 934 shows up as a rich dark brown instead of green and complements the lighter greens. The changes in the colors of the butterfly wings were happy mistakes and seemed to make the butterfly come alive.
